To inspire you — Our Diabetes Challenge Youth Ambassador, Zoe

Zoe is a very happy and active 3 year old girl. She loves to take nature walks and look for butterflies, play with her younger brother and go to preschool and be with her young friends. 
However Zoe does not live life like a typical 3 year old because she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 11 months old. Every morning Zoe has to have shots containing three different types of insulin.
Without the insulin, her body would not be able to survive. Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic condition that will not go away until there is a cure. Our dream is to watch Zoe grow and develop into an intelligent young woman who is able to tell people that she “use to have diabetes.”
